Sunil Sharma slams Congress for trampling Constitution during Emergency

Srinagar, Aug 7: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Provincial President (K) Nasir Aslam Wani on Saturday stated that the youth are the real stake holders in the future of Jammu and Kashmir and its through their energetic participation that Jammu and Kashmir can be propelled out from the ruins it finds itself in.
Nasir said this while addressing party functionaries here at the party head quarters Nawa-e-Subha, Srinagar.
On the occasion a prominent young political activist from Rawalpura, Amirakadal Sajad Tantray joined National Conference. Among others party’s YNC President (K), Salman Ali Sagar who was present on the occasion, welcomed the new entrant into the party fold with a view that the party’s local unit will benefit from his wide ranging experience in public life, socio-political activism.
Addressing the functionaries, Nasir said that there is no restrain on the anti youth policies of the ruling dispensation, saying that the rampant disillusionment among JK youth draws on many things which includes no job avenues, widespread unemployment, looming insecurity, and wanton discrimination. “Our youth like their counter parts elsewhere in the world are bright. The only thing that sets them apart from their counterparts in the rest of the country and the world is the absence of safer spaces to pursue their vocation. Besides that the insecurity in their own land remains a primary hurdle in the direction of their empowerment. Fate of our promising youth continues to hang in balance, with everyday top down government notifications and diktats pushing them towards a tipping point,” he said.
Nasir said that the YNC is a wheel that generates the power and strength through which the party derives dynamism and strength. “The role of YNC in guiding the stream of youth in JK is immense. This time it has an added role to perform by coming to the rescue of our distressed youth and rescue them from the consequences of unilaterally refurbished nature of our constitutional status in the union post august, 5, 2019. We cannot let the destinies of our youth being taken hold off by the bureaucratic noose, we are, and we will continue to defend our youth against the discrimination they are meted out every single day. YNC being the biggest youth block in JK has a vital role to play in propelling out our youth from the quagmire which only spells doom,” he said.
Among others district president Srinagar Peer Afaq Ahmed, GN Nilora, GN Bhat and Rafiq Ellahi were also present on the occasion. The functionaries welcomed the new entrant with a view that his joining the party fold will further strengthen the party local unit at grass root level.
