Srinagar, Nov 7: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir’s Finance Department has initiated the budget preparation process for the fiscal year 2025-26. News agency KINS reported that in a formal notification issued today, all Administrative Departments, Heads of Departments (HODs), Budget Controlling Officers, and Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) have been instructed to begin compiling budget estimates.
The revised estimates for 2024-25 will also be included.
To streamline the process, departments are required to complete initial preparations at the DDO level by November 1, followed by HOD-level completion by November 15.
The final budget proposals are to be submitted to the Finance Department no later than November 20.
The Budget Estimation, Allocation, and Management System (BEAMS) will be utilized exclusively for online submissions, ensuring a paperless process.
The Finance Department has provided detailed guidelines to support this extensive budget exercise.
