Srinagar, Aug 11: The road connecting Mehjoor Nagar with Rambagh area in Srinagar is in shambles for the past couple of years, the residents complained.
A group of people from Mehjoor Nagar area said that the condition of the road speaks volumes about the non-seriousness of R&B Department.
“The Mehjoor Nagar-Rambagh bund road gives tough time to commuters. Despite repeated appeals the road, which is of critical importance for a vast populace, is being ignored,” the locals said and appealed Chief Engineer R&B to get the road macadamized at an earliest.
When contacted, Chief Engineer R&B, Showkat Jeelani Pandit said that there was some tender related issue that has been sorted out and the road will be shortly macadamized. (KNT)
