Jammu, Nov 30: Emphasing the role of youth in making a nation strong and vibrant, Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Kumar Chaudhary, Saturday said that strenuous efforts are underway to ensure that the youth is provided with all the requisite avenues for their spiritual and intellectual development.

The Deputy Chief Minister, while referring to the menace of drug abuse, said that the Government will deal strictly with those responsible for misleading youth towards this evil.
While emphasizing the importance of women empowerment and their contribution towards society, the Deputy Chief Minister said that their role has always been important in shaping the destiny of nation. He said that women folk has always rendered selfless services to the whole humankind.
The event featured a range of cultural performances, academic competitions and a special assembly focused on women’s empowerment. The students showcased their talent, creativity and dedication towards making a positive difference in the world.
Fr. Justin Thiraviam, in his address, emphasized school’s commitment towards providing a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages all students to reach their full potential.

Besides, they also raised issues of delayed scholarships, fee-related, lack of campus placements and training for competitive exams.
The deputation also demanded adequate public transportation for the university and upgraded security measures, especially for women students.
