Srinagar, Dec 5: Continuing its unwavering efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police in Anantnag arrested a notorious drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
A police party of Police Station Srigufwara at a checkpoint established at Nowshara crossing, apprehended a notorious drug peddler identified as Mohd Amin Zargar, son-in-law of Gh Hassan Ganie resident of Sirhama. During his search, approximately 2.9 kilograms of a cannabis substance was recovered from his possession. He was shifted to Police Station where he remains in Police custody.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 97/2024, under relevant sections of NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Srigufwara and investigation has been taken up.
