Jammu, Dec 5: Deputy chief minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary Thursday said that the Omar Abdullah-led government is not functioning without powers, but has the control and thus suspended employees for dereliction of duties.
“We don’t want to act tough against employees, but they need to understand their responsibility like government is performing its job,” Choudhary told the media persons in Jammu.
He said that there is a clear distribution of power, everything is clear, who is saying Omar Abdullah-led government doesn’t have powers.
“It is because of the powers with this government that the employees have been suspended,” he said.
He also assured that the government will ensure good governance. “We are not against employees. Voters and the government employees are equal for us, but we want them to be accountable and people should get their rights,” he said.
