According to the official figures, the last two months recorded a footfall of around 4, 10,756 passengers, while the month of June recorded a footfall around 1, 65,126, and the month of July recorded around 2, 45,630 passengers.
The increase in the footfall is seen after the tourism department immunized the stakeholders holders associated with the tourism industry and with its revival program in the valley after announcing the opening of unexplored tourist destinations and adventure trekking routes.
“Frequent announcements on the public address system are made urging the passengers to maintain social distance and to follow all the Covid sops and guidelines. Further we are also ensuring that no visitors or passengers enter the terminal building without a face mask,” Singh said.
Singh said that there are around 33 flight movements on daily basis these days which also includes the night flight operations at Srinagar International Airport.
