Anantnag, Aug 18: A boy was critically injured after a black bear mauled him in his court yard in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
The incident occurred in Kolinad Lammer village of the district.
Local sources said that a black bear emerged in the village creating panic. When people were running for safety, the bear entered in the premises of one Sirjuddin Deedad and attacked his 16-year-old son Mukhtar Ahmed.
The boy sustained critical injuries before he was saved by the people.
Sources said that the boy had been shifted to GMC Hospital Anantnag in critical condition.
The bear after chased away by the locals disappeared in the adjacent forest area. (KNT)
