Kulgam, Aug 18: Former Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Nirmal Singh Wednesday said that killing of people with different political ideology won’t yield any results. He said ideology varies from person to person and one can’t be silenced in Kashmir just being part of BJP.
Singh who led a party delegation visited Brazlo Jagir Kulgam to expressed sympathies with the family of BJP leader Javaid Ahmed who was gunned down by militants on Tuesday.
Nirmal Singh as per news agency Kashmir News Trust said that by force one can’t change the political ideology of another person. “The fault of our worker was only that he was part of BJP. Killings won’t bear any results. We must respect the ideology of people,” he said.
Nirmal Singh said those responsible for the killings of BJP workers in Kashmir won’t be spared. “I will personally talk to LG Manoj Sinha and would ensure BJP workers in Kashmir will get maximum security cover,” he said adding that BJP won’t allow Kashmir to become next Syria and Afghanistan.
