SPREAD-A mission for new destinations

The jubilations are all around as the schools across Kashmir division are all set to reopen on Friday following a three-month long winter vacation, which was recently extended in wake of the fresh snow spell in Jammu and Kashmir. More than ten thousand private and government employees will resume their academic activities from today. The government had on December 06 announced winter vacation for all public and recognised private educational institutions in the Kashmir division as well as in the winter zones of Jammu division in two phases, starting from December 10. Winter vacations for Classes upto 5th primary were announced from 10 December 2024 to 28 February 2025. Similarly for the 6th standard to 12th standard, the vacations were announced from 16 December to 28 February 2025. While the schools are set to reopen today, the markets witnessed a huge rush of the students, who were seen buying the education related stuff in the last few days. However, amidst the reopening of schools, the weatherman here has predicted the wet spell from March 10, which is expected to bring down the mercury once again across the Valley, thereby the schools need to take proper care during the rainy and snowy days ahead and ensure that the students will not face any hardships during the wet spell. The time has come when the government needs to pass strict direction in this regard so that the students are not pushed to the wall.
