Jammu, Apr 18: A high-level Congress delegation led by All India Congress Committee (AICC) national general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Syed Naseer Hussain met Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in Jammu on Friday to discuss the evolving political landscape in the Union Territory.
Hussain was accompanied by AICC general secretary G.A. Mir and Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president Tariq Hameed Karra during the meeting, which took place at the Chief Minister’s residence, party sources confirmed.
Described as a “productive and forward-looking engagement,” the meeting focused on the broader political dynamics in Jammu and Kashmir, with a particular emphasis on the INDIA bloc’s strategy in the region.
“The discussion revolved around the strengthening of the INDIA alliance and the need for cohesive efforts to address the pressing challenges facing the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” a senior Congress leader said. (KINS)
