Srinagar, Apr 26: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Chief Spokesperson and MLA Zadibal Tanvir Sadiq Saturday said that J&K government will prioritize the development of crucial public infrastructure in Srinagar, aiming to improve the quality of life in urban areas that have been neglected since 2015.
This he said while interacting with the people during his tour of various areas of Zadibal constituency to inspect Water Supply schemes and ensure that drinking water supply is available for the Zadibal constituency before the onset of summer.
He also visited the site of a major project, Construction of a Gallon Overhead Tank at Bagwanpora. The work is progressing swiftly at a cost of around Rs 1 crore. Once completed, it will cater to the water needs of Amda Kadal, Bharar, Bagwanpora, Lalbazar, Botkadal, Hawal, and surrounding areas.
He expressed gratitude to Jal Shakti Minister Javed Rana for ensuring Srinagar city gets adequate supply of drinking water.
He was accompanied by officials from the PHE dept and party’s local unit functionaries on the occasion.
Tanvir, echoing the sentiments of the public, stated that the government led by Omar Abdullah is well aware of the issues faced by the residents of Srinagar. He emphasized that these issues have been neglected by previous administrations since 2015, but under Omar Abdullah’s leadership, the government is committed to addressing them.
Tanvir highlighted that the government is currently working on streamlining important projects in Srinagar, with a focus on prioritizing those of significant public importance.
