Ganderbal, May 24: Residents of Wussan in Ganderbal district are urging authorities to take immediate action on the deteriorating condition of a vital three-kilometre link road connecting NH Wussan to Chattergul.
The road, which intersects the National Highway and leads to the main NHW in Wussan, is riddled with potholes and has become nearly impassable.
Despite being heavily used by local Transport, school buses, and daily commuters, the road has not seen proper maintenance or macadamization in several years.
“This road is a lifeline for our area, yet it’s full of potholes and poses a serious threat to commuters,” a local resident said. “Vehicles are getting damaged, and the risk of accidents is increasing day by day.”
In light of the growing concerns, the residents have appealed to the Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal and MLA Kangan to personally intervene and ensure that the road is repaired and macadamized at the earliest. (KNO)
