Authorities must immediately initiate elaborate safety measures. This includes clearing stormwater drains, reinforcing embankments, ensuring backup power supplies, and pre-positioning emergency response teams with rescue boats and medical supplies. Early warning systems — both digital and community-based — need to be activated to ensure that information reaches every household, especially in vulnerable zones. Equally critical is the role of public cooperation. Residents must stay informed, avoid unnecessary travel, and adhere strictly to evacuation advisories where issued. Farmers, shopkeepers, and local business owners should be advised on steps to protect property and inventory. Parents must keep children indoors, and schools in high-risk zones should consider temporary closures as a precaution.
