Israel’s attack on Iran unjustified: Omar

Srinagar, Jun 10: After securing A++ grade in the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in its latest re-accreditation cycle, Vice Chancellor of University of Kashmir (KU) Prof Nilofer Khan Tuesday said that the varsity can now compete globally with any university.
Briefing the media in a Press Conference, Khan as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said, “KU belongs to the society and being a part of the varsity, we have worked months together to achieve this goal.”
She said that it was not easy for KU to achieve this milestone. “But the hard work of both the teaching and non-teaching staff have made it possible to get A++ grade in NAAC re-accreditation cycle.”
Khan said, “It needs a vision to get these grades. There was enormous support from the government and ministers. This NAAC visit was very different in comparison to the previous visits. There was a huge amount of transparency.”
“I can proudly say that now we can compete globally with any university. We will work on it more on it to take it to the next level,” she said.
The VC further said that KU has never compromised on the quality of education.
In the meantime, Prof Musavir Ahmad on the occasion said that KU has been very serious about plugging the loopholes being reported by the Media.
Prof Manzoor Ahmad Shah said, “All SOPs of the NAAC visit were followed properly. Out of the 65 parameters, NAAC team had thoroughly inquired about the 63 parameters and after being satisfied, we were honoured with A++ grades.”
Pertinently, KU was awarded with a prestigious A++ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in its latest re-accreditation cycle last week.
KU is the first higher educational institution in Jammu and Kashmir to be assessed under NAAC’s revised accreditation framework, which incorporates more rigorous parameters that are challenging to meet.
According to the official results released by NAAC, the University secured an exceptional Institutional Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.68 the highest in its history, outperforming several leading universities across the country. (KNO)
