Pradhan further said, “Jammu and Kashmir has an important history for being a hub of many original ideas.”
“Some new developments are being made by the National Book Trust (NBT) and NCP. As we inaugurated the second edition of Chinar Book Festival, in the near future we work on giving it a permanent form,” he said.

He highlighted the importance of books in preserving and promoting culture and civilisation. “Books are a great medium to advance an entire culture and civilization. The National Book Trust and our department will together undertake many new experiments,” he added.
