Budgam, Aug 9: The shrine of Hazrat Sultan Syed Mohammad Ali Aali (RA) in Pakherpora witnessed a large gathering on Saturday as devotees from across Kashmir marked the annual Urs with prayers, recitations and special religious events.
Peer Syed Mohammad Hussain Hakani Sahab, Imam Hazabs and Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Administrator of the Pakherpora Shrine, along with Waqf Board staff, showed the Ziyarat of Nalane Paak of the saint to devotees after all namaz gatherings.
On Friday night, Shab Khwanai was observed with Quran recitations and naat filling the shrine complex.
“Allah is the giver. These saints are just mediators who are very close to Allah. We have faith in them and that’s why we come here,” said one of the devotees.
Another pilgrim, Mohammad Shafi from Baramulla, said: “Visiting the Urs brings peace to my heart. It’s not just about the rituals, it’s about feeling spiritually recharged.”
Authorities had made elaborate arrangements for the Urs, with departments including PHE, electricity and other civic bodies ensuring uninterrupted services for the pilgrims.
Throughout the day collective prayers for peace, unity and well-being of the people of Jammu and Kashmir held. (KNO)
