Jammu, Sep 2: Minister of State (MoS) with independent charge in Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Dr Jitendra Singh on Tuesday praised BJP karyakartas (party workers) for responding to the natural calamities within no time.
On incidents of cloud burst and flash flood in parts of Jammu due to monsoon rains, Dr Singh said, “The incidents happened in Ramban, Kishtwar, Kathua, Udhampur.
There was a forecast for rain, but one can’t say for cloud bursts. At the time when the incident (cloudburst) happened in Chashoti, Kishtwar, I got to know about it from one of our party leaders.
It was our party workers who were the first responders to the incident. It is a lesson that illegal mining and unauthorised encroachments need to be dealt with.”
On India’s first indigenously built Vikram-32-Bit Processor Chip, Dr Singh said, “This is a single moment that is symbolic of not one but more than one indicator like self-reliant India and journey towards a developed India.”
