Kupwara, Sep 26: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Sharikanth Balasaheb Suse Friday convened a meeting of the District Level Committee on Change of Land Use (CLU) cases in the district.
At the outset, detailed discussion was held regarding comments submitted by various departments for the issuance of NOCs of pending cases of CLU in the district.
As many as 20 cases were put up for discussion; after thorough deliberation on various aspects of the policy, 08 cases were approved by the committee, 03were rejected and 09 cases were reverted to applicants to get some observations cleared.
DC directed the concerned departments to submit quality comments/concrete NOCs within stipulated time as per the provisions of PSG Act to ensure timely disposal of CLU.
He emphasised that since CLU cases involve comments from various departments, there is an increased need for inter-departmental coordination.
He directed officers to stick to the deadlines and conduct the joint site inspections of the cases.
Meeting was attended by ADC Handwara, Javid Naseem Masoodi; ACR Kupwara, Tehsildars, Ex. Engineers of PHE and PDD, Chief Agriculture Officer Kupwara, and other concerned officials.
