Sewa Parv: DC Srinagar holds mega public grievance redressal camp at Central Shalteng

Srinagar, Sep 29: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo on Monday conducted a mega public grievance redressal camp here at Central Shalteng under the ongoing fortnight long Sewa Parv-2025 campaign aimed to bring administration at the doorsteps of the people and address their issues and developmental demands.
The programme held within the premises of SDM/Tehsil Office Shalteng witnessed large participation of people from Bemina, Alochibagh, Batamaloo, Qamarwari, Panzinara, Rambirgarh, Shalteng, Parimpora, Khushi Pora, Zainakote, HMT, Maloora, Mujgund, Lawaypora, and other adjoining areas of Shalteng Tehsil of the Srinagar district.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Rifat Aftab Qureshi; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz; Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar; Joint Commissioner SMC, Nuzhat Khurshid; SDM West, Assistant Commissioner Development, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Tehsildar Shalteng, and sectoral/ zonal officers of the district were also present on the occasion.
During the grievance redressal camp, scores of public delegations and individuals projected various issues and demands before the DC including augmentation of drainage system & water supply, macadamization of inner roads, development of playgrounds, upgradation of health and school infrastructure, resolution of jurisdictional disputes, timely release of land compensation, development of Parimpora Fruit Mandi & Parimpora Bus Terminal and other issues.
DC gave a patient hearing to the grievances and demands put forth by the public and assured the residents of Shalteng Tehsil that all genuine demands and issues projected by them will be taken up for rule bound appraisal with proper follow-up.
He also gave on the spot directions to the concerned officers of the line departments to conduct field visits of the areas and take first hand appraisal of the public issues, ensuring their time bound redressal.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, DC emphasized that the primary purpose of holding such grievance redressal camp is to bring administration at the doorsteps of the people in district administrations effort for responsive governance, efficient public service delivery and inclusive development across the district.
