RPHQ Central Kashmir Range Srinagar organises two-day financial protocols workshop

Srinagar, Oct 30: A two-day workshop on Finance, Pre-check, and Accounting Protocols was successfully organized by the Range Police Headquarters (RPHQ) Central Kashmir Range (CKR) Srinagar on 29th and 30th October 2025 at J&K Police Public School, Bemina, Srinagar. The event was conducted under the aegis of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in coordination with the Internal Financial Advisor (IFA), J&K Home Department.
The workshop was chaired by Shakeel Maqbool, ICAS, Internal Financial Advisor (IFA), J&K Home, who led his expert team in delivering comprehensive sessions on various financial management topics. The training saw the active participation of all Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) and makers from different units of Central Kashmir Range Srinagar.
During the two-day programme, officers from the Integrated Finance Division, Ministry of Home Affairs conducted in-depth sessions on procurement procedures, bill preparation, and other finance-related matters.
The resource team included Wing Commander Nirmal Kumar (AO, IFA Home), SAO Haresh Ghie (PAO-I), Senior Accountant Ab Hamid, and Younis Ahmed (Section Officer), who elaborated on several key aspects of financial documentation, bill processing, and accounting protocols.
An interactive open discussion was also held, during which DDOs from various districts and units shared their concerns and practical experiences with the trainers. The exchange proved highly informative, helping clarify several procedural and operational issues related to financial management.
The workshop concluded on a highly positive and collaborative note. During the closing ceremony, Peer Zahoor Ahmad, JKPS, Staff Officer to DIG Central Kashmir Range, delivered the Vote of Thanks, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the officers from MHA, participants, and organizers for their active engagement and valuable contributions.
Among the dignitaries and participants present were Mohd Shafi (ADO, RPHQ Srinagar), Showkat Ahmed (Private Secretary to DIG CKR), Inspector Irfan Nazir, Mushtaq Ahmad (AAO, RPHQ CKR), and Junaid Imtiyaz (Accountant, CKR Srinagar), who also took part in the sessions.
The workshop was widely appreciated for its relevance, practical insights, and collaborative spirit, aiming to enhance financial discipline and efficiency within the police establishment. [KNT]
