DC Bandipora reviews District CAPEX Budget

Bandipora, Nov 7: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib, on Friday chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the implementation of various schemes across different sectors in the district.
During the meeting, the DC reviewed the Financial and Physical Progress Report under the District CAPEX Budget 2025-26 (UT Component) of different departments. She also reviewed the financial progress department-wise, emphasizing timely completion of works, effective utilization of funds, and strict adherence to quality standards in all ongoing and upcoming developmental projects.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner took a detailed review of the progress under key government schemes being executed by different departments. The officers presented updates on physical and financial achievements, highlighting the status of ongoing works and the steps taken to resolve bottlenecks.
During the meeting, the DC emphasized the need to ensure timely completion of all developmental works and directed officers to maintain transparency and accountability at every level. She stressed the importance of close monitoring and field verification to ensure quality and adherence to project timelines.
The DC directed departments to adopt a result-oriented approach and focus on schemes that have a direct impact on the public, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, education, health, and social welfare. She urged officers to strengthen inter-departmental coordination to accelerate progress and achieve set targets within the stipulated timeframe. Officers were directed to promptly address issues causing delays and submit regular progress reports.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Mohammad Maqbool Lone, ACD Bandipora, Executive Engineers, Block Development Officers, and heads of various line departments.
