Rajouri, Dec 23: MLA Thanamandi, Muzaffar Iqbal Khan Tuesday held an important meeting with the youth and local people at Dak Bunglow, Rajouri. The meeting was attended by a large number of people who openly shared their problems and expectations.
During the meeting, people raised several issues related to development works, unemployment, and daily public difficulties. MLA Muzaffar Iqbal Khan listened to everyone calmly and patiently. He allowed people to speak freely and responded to them with understanding, which created a positive and respectful atmosphere.
The main demand of the people was the restoration of statehood of Jammu and Kashmir. The youth and elders asked him when the statehood would return and urged him to fight firmly for it. They mentioned the earlier signature campaign led for the restoration of statehood but said that it had not shown any clear results.
MLA Muzaffar Iqbal Khan assured the people that their voices matter. He also promised that all pending works and development projects in Thanamandi constituency will be completed soon. He said that development work will begin in every part of the constituency and added, “Your work is my priority.”He further assured that he will make every effort to reduce the sufferings of the people and bring relief at the earliest possible time.
