Kupwara, Jan 3: Assistant Commissioner Revenue Kupwara, Peerzada Mumtaz Saturday chaired a meeting of officers of Sub-Division Karnah at the Mini Secretariat, Tangdar, to review and finalize arrangements for the Republic Day celebrations.
During the meeting, responsibilities were assigned to various departments for making seating arrangements, venue decoration, traffic management, and cultural programmes to ensure smooth and orderly conduct of the event. A detailed micro plan highlighting the responsibilities of all Line departments was discussed.
The Power Development Department (PDD) was directed to ensure illumination of government buildings to give a festive look to the area.
The ACR emphasized close inter-departmental coordination and directed all concerned departments to ensure that the Republic Day celebrations in the border sub-division of Karnah are conducted smoothly.
The meeting was attended by Tehsildar Karnah Mohd Amin Bhat; BDO Tangdar, Mudasir Sikandar; Executive Engineer SSD Karnah Javeed Iqbal, SHO Karnah, and other officers of the line departments of the Karnah sub-division.
