Jammu, Jan 14: Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh Kavinder Gupta, emphasized that religious and cultural congregations reflect the region’s rich spiritual heritage and play a crucial role in fortifying social harmony, unity, and shared values.
On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, the Lieutenant Governor, attended the annual congregation of the Khajuria Biradari. He paid his respects, offered prayers, and sought blessings from Kuldev Bawa Ambo Ji for the peace, prosperity, and well-being of the people in the Union Territories of Ladakh and Jammu & Kashmir.
Addressing the gathering, the Lieutenant Governor called upon all sections of society to uphold the values of communal harmony, brotherhood, and mutual respect, particularly during festive seasons. He asserted that India’s foundational strength lies in its unity amidst diversity and urged collective efforts to sustain peace and social cohesion in the region.
Gupta further stated that festivals present a significant opportunity to reinforce the bonds of brotherhood, compassion, and shared responsibility.
