Jammu, Jan 14: To meet high demands, Northern Railways’ Jammu Division has announced another extension of its Special Reserved Train service (Train Nos. 04081/04082).
A railway official said that due to its popularity, the service has been granted a further two-day extension, as the train has become a preferred and efficient travel choice for passengers.
The revised schedule is as follows: Train No. 04081 (New Delhi to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra) will now also run on January 16 and 17, 2026. It was initially scheduled from December 27, 2025, to January 10, 2026.
Train No. 04082 (Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra to New Delhi) will have additional trips on January 17 and 18, 2026. Its original schedule was from December 28, 2025, to January 11, 2026.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Uchit Singhal informed KNS that the extension is a direct result of the train’s consistent success. “The previous runs of this special reserved train have been highly successful, providing an economical option for travelers and maintaining near-full occupancy,” Singhal said.
He said that the service may be extended further if needed. Passengers are advised to confirm the latest schedule by calling Dial 139 or checking the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) before their journey. (KNS)
