Jammu, Feb 18: The Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha has extended his greetings to the people on the beginning of holy month of Ramadhan.
In a message, the Lieutenant Governor said: “Heartiest greetings and best wishes to the people on the commencement of the holy month of Ramzan. May this time of prayer and forgiveness guide us to support those in need and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood. May this sacred month foster a spirit of mutual goodwill, love, compassion and bring harmony and kindness to all”.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah conveyed his warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the commencement of the holy month of Ramadhan.
In his message, the Chief Minister underscored the spiritual significance of Ramadhan as a time for self-discipline, compassion and introspection. He urged the people to strengthen the bonds of unity, extend support to one another, and promote an atmosphere of mutual respect, peace, and harmony.
“This spirit of togetherness will further strengthen our society and enhance resilience across Jammu & Kashmir,” the Chief Minister said.
The Chief Minister prayed that Almighty Allah accept the fasting and prayers of the faithful, grant fulfillment of their supplications, and bless the region with peace, prosperity and well-being.
“May Allah’s blessings be upon us all. Ramadan Mubarak,” he added.
Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Chowdhary has also extended his warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the onset of Holy month of Ramadhan.
In his message, the Deputy CM said that the sacred month of Ramzan-ul- Mubarak is a time for spiritual reflection and seeking the immense blessings of the Almighty. He urged people to pray for peace, prosperity and well-being of all.
He said that that the holy month of Ramzan -ul- Mubarak teaches the values of compassion, patience, generosity and forgiveness, and inspires everyone to spread the message of love, brotherhood, humanity and harmony among all.
The Deputy Chief Minister further stated that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have always exemplified communal harmony by standing together in times of joy and adversity, and wholeheartedly participating in each other’s festivals and celebrations.
“May the holy month strengthen the bonds of unity and usher in peace, progress and prosperity across Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Itoo extended her warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, especially Muslim community on the onset of holy month of Ramadhan.
In her message, the Minister said, “Holy month of Ramadhan is sacred period, offering an opportunity for spiritual and self-purification with renewed commitment to path of righteousness”. She added that the holy month reminds people of importance of patience, humility and compassion, encouraging them to strengthen bonds of brotherhood and harmony.
“Hope this blessed month would inspire individuals to dedicate themselves to acts of kindness, charity and service to humanity, particularly towards needy and marginalized sections of society”, Minister Sakeena stated.
The Minister also prayed for the acceptance of fasts and prayers of the faithful, as well as peace, progress and prosperity of entire Jammu and Kashmir.
Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, has extended his heartfelt greetings to the people on the sacred occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
In his message, the Minister conveyed his warm wishes to all, praying that this blessed month brings peace, prosperity and lasting happiness to every household.
He expressed hope that Ramadan serves as a source of spiritual renewal, strengthening the values of compassion, generosity and unity within society.
“May Allah (SWT) bestow His abundant blessings upon us, guide us along the path of righteousness and grant us the strength and patience to overcome every challenge,” the Minister said.
Emphasizing the spirit of empathy and service that defines Ramadan, he called upon people to extend support to the underprivileged and work collectively towards peace and social cohesion.
Minister for FCS&CA, IT, Transport, Youth Services and Sports, Science and Technology, Satish Sharma has extended his warm and heartfelt greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly the Muslim community, on the sacred and blessed occasion of the holy month of Ramzan.
In his message, the Minister described Ramzan as a time of profound spiritual reflection, devotion, compassion and self-discipline. He said the holy month inspires individuals to embrace the values of patience, empathy, generosity and service to humanity, while reinforcing the spirit of unity, harmony and brotherhood in society.
He expressed hope that the auspicious occasion would usher in peace, prosperity and well-being for all and further strengthen the bonds of communal harmony, mutual respect and shared responsibility among people of all faiths.
Satish Sharma also prayed for the continued progress, stability and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir and the nation as a whole. He urged people to observe the holy month with devotion, kindness and a spirit of togetherness, while extending support and compassion to the underprivileged and those in need.
