DC Shopian visits far-flung areas of Keller

Shopian, Oct 11: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya Monday visited far-flung areas of Pahlipora, Dunaroo of Keller to take stock of ongoing developmental works and hold interaction with the people of these areas.
The DDC during the visit interacted with the people of these areas and their representatives including DDCs, BDC Chairpersons and Sarpanches besides prominent Civil Society and Auqaf committee Members.
The visiting public delegations, individuals and PRIs apprised the DDC of their grievances and developmental needs in these areas.
The DDC heard them patiently and assured that all their genuine demands would be looked into and redressed within the shortest possible time.
Speaking on the occasion, Vaishya emphasized upon the executing agencies for activating their developmental activities to facilitate the general masses of the area. He said that the District Administration is committed to provide transparent and accessible governance to the people besides prompt redressal of their grievances and demands.
He said that it is heartening to see the local people making and implementing plans in tune with their aspirations of development and welfare.
The DDC said that the development works are being carried out in all the Panchayats under District Capex and maintained that the PRIs should strictly monitor those for their quality and timely completion.
He said the families and society have a vital role to play in curbing drug menace among the youth adding that the Youth Clubs and Playfields coming up at Panchayat, village and ward levels will have significant effect on empowerment of youth besides utilizing their energy and talent in constructive and rewarding fields.
The DDC was accompanied by Tehsildar Keller, BDO, Keller, Ex. Engineers and other concerned officers and officials.
