New Delhi, Mar 15: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of two senior officers in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, according to an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training.
As per the order, Alok Tripathi, an Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer of the 1999 batch, has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the ministry for a tenure of five years from the date he assumes charge of the post, or until further orders.
In another appointment, A. Amarnath, an Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer of the 2006 batch, has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) at the Joint Secretary level in the ministry for a period of three years from the date of assuming charge. (KNC)
