Srinagar, Oct 18: All India Congress Committee (AICC) Incharge J&K and MP, Rajani Patil, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Ghulam Ahmad Mir and CWC Member Tariq Hamid Karra on Monday met Rahul Gandhi in Union Capital and discussed current security situation in J&K.
According to a statement, the meeting lasted for more than one hour, in which leaders debated and discussed the current security situation in J&K, besides civilians’ killings and attacks on non-local laborers came under discussion.
The leaders expressed serious concern over the deteriorating security situation in J&K and said the Congress party feels highly concerned about the safety of people while blaming the central government for failing to ensure the safety of people.
The loss of civilians is a matter of serious concern; the leaders added and urged the central government to take immediate effective measures to ensure the safety of citizens.
