Budgam, Jun 2: Chief Minister’s Advisor, Nasir Aslam Wani on Tuesday said the Jammu and Kashmir government is actively pursuing Hajj pilgrims’ luggage issue and has taken up the matter with the Union Civil Aviation Ministry.
Speaking to reporters while welcoming returning Hajj pilgrims at Srinagar Airport, Wani, said a portion of the luggage had already arrived with the latest flight, while efforts were continuing to facilitate the return of the remaining baggage, including permitted food items.
He said CM Omar Abdullah has personally taken up the matter with the Union Minister for Civil Aviation and is closely monitoring the issue to ensure that the concerns of pilgrims are addressed at the earliest.
“The government is committed to facilitating the smooth return of pilgrims and their belongings,” Wani said, expressing hope that the pending baggage would arrive shortly. (KNO)
