Jammu, Jun 12: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Friday ordered a major reshuffle in the bureaucracy, transferring and posting six JKAS officers in the Home Department with immediate effect.
According to an order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), Akanksha Kalsotra, presently serving as Programme & Coordination Executive in the Directorate of Information, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Secretary to the Government, Home Department.
Four Junior Scale JKAS officers – Tariq Ahmad Sheikh, Pulkit Dutta, Sumit Suri, and Ajay Singh – have been posted as Under Secretaries in the Home Department. They were earlier posted as Assistant Director in Baramulla, Under Secretary in J&K Services Selection Board, CDPO in Khour, and Block Development Officer in Duggain, respectively.
Meanwhile, Monish Kumar, JKAS, who was serving as Under Secretary in the Home Department, has been transferred and directed to await further adjustment orders in the General Administration Department, the order added.
The transfers have been ordered “in the interest of administration” and copies of the government order have been marked to top officials including the Chief Secretary, DGP, Divisional Commissioners, and all Deputy Commissioners. (KNS)
