Srinagar, Jun 23: A meeting of the Committee on Petitions of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was held Tuesday under the Chairmanship of MLA Peerzada Farooq Ahmad Shah Assembly Secretariat, Srinagar.
The meeting was attended by Legislators Mir Mohammad Fayaz, Javaid Riyaz (Bedar), Sheikh Ahsan Ahmad (Pardesi), Shagun Parihar besides Additional Chief Secretary, PDD Ashwini Kumar, Commissioner Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department Mandeep Kour along with other concerned officers.
The Committee deliberated in detail on two petitions including non-compliance of the Court Order regarding fixation of Junior Engineers ( Electrical) and post-retirement recovery from a retired Assistant Plumber.
During the meeting, the Committee held detailed discussion on both matters and sought comprehensive information and relevant records from the concerned departments. It directed the departments to furnish complete details and factual reports pertaining to the issues raised in the petitions for consideration in its next meeting.
The Committee emphasized the need for timely submission of the requisite information to facilitate effective examination and disposal of the petitions.
