Srinagar, Oct 23: Police along with security forces on Saturday claimed to have arrested a militant associate affiliated with TRF (LeT) in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district and recovered incriminating materials including ammunition from his possession.
A police spokesman in a statement, said that Baramulla police along with Army and CRPF arrested a militant associate affiliated with TRF (LeT) at Kitchama.
He has been identified as Farooq Ahmad Malik son of Ghulam Muhammad Malik of Kitchama, Baramulla.
Incriminating materials including a Chinese Hand Grenade, 02 pistol magazines and 16 live pistol rounds were recovered from his possession.
It is pertinent to mention here that the arrested militant associate was in close contact with an active militant namely Hilal Ahmad Sheikh of Shrakwara Kreeri and was providing the logistic and other material support to him.
A case under relevant sections of law stands registered against him in Police Station Sheeri and investigation has been initiated, police said.
