Drass, Jul 25: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday said that India continues to face security challenges as adversaries persist with tactics such as proxy warfare and infiltration, but assured that the armed forces are fully prepared to respond to any threat.
Addressing soldiers, Singh, said the government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership has taken steps to ensure that the morale of the armed forces remains high.
He highlighted the focus on military modernisation, providing soldiers with advanced weapons, equipment, and training to meet evolving security requirements.
“The effort is to ensure that our soldiers receive the best weapons, the best equipment, and the best training in the world,” Singh said, praising the armed forces for staying ahead by adopting new technologies and innovations.
The Defence Minister lauded the courage and dedication of Indian soldiers, saying their bravery is recognised both within the country and globally. He described the spirit and determination displayed by troops as “unparalleled” and “incomparable.”
Singh assured the armed forces that the government remains equally committed to their welfare and well-being, just as soldiers remain committed to safeguarding the nation.
Highlighting India’s push for self-reliance, Singh expressed confidence that the country’s armed forces would emerge as one of the world’s strongest military forces in the coming years.
He said that with the support of soldiers, the goal of building a more capable and self-reliant defence force would be achieved.
The Defence Minister also praised the resilience of troops who continue to perform their duties despite difficult conditions, saying their inner strength, self-confidence, and patriotism enable them to overcome every challenge.
He added that the courage and unwavering resolve of Indian soldiers allow citizens across the country to live securely and pursue their aspirations without fear. (KNO)
