Budgam, Sep 3: Gunshots were heard in the upper reaches of the forest area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Thursday evening during a cordon-and-search operation, officials said.
Official sources said that based on specific inputs, a cordon-and-search operation was launched by a joint team of police and Army in the upper reaches of the district.
They said that during the searches, some gunshots were heard, following which the cordon was further tightened around the area.
The search operation was underway in the area when last reports came in. (KNO)
