Srinagar, Oct 8: Leader of Opposition in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Sunil Sharma, along with BJP General Secretary Mohd Anwar Khan, Thursday participated in a tree plantation drive at ARSH College, Khonmoh, Srinagar, under the ongoing Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.
The initiative focused on promoting environmental conservation and creating greater awareness about the importance of protecting the natural environment.
During the programme, saplings were planted on the college premises, marking a community-oriented effort towards increasing green cover and promoting a cleaner and healthier environment.
The plantation drive also highlighted the importance of involving educational institutions and local communities in environmental initiatives. The participation of students and members of the college community provided an opportunity to spread awareness about the need to protect trees, preserve the environment and adopt sustainable practices.
