Kupwara, Apr 20: Missing since September last year, a young boy from Tarbal Bandipora was Thursday repatriated at Teethwal crossing in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district by Pakistan.
An official said that a boy identified as Mohammad Syed Ganai son of Gh Mohiuddin Ganai a resident of Tarbal Gurez was Tuesday repeated in presence of the officials at Teethwal bridge (Teethwal crossing).
He said that the boy had gone missing in September last year from his native village and returned today in the presence of administrative and army officials.
“Proactive coordination by Indian authorities has enabled repatriation of the child at Tithwal Crossing Bridge”, a senior official said adding that “at around 11:55 AM the young boy was taken over from Pakistan authorities at Tithwal crossing Bridge.”
Notably, the Indian authorities in recent humanitarian grounds have returned a couple of individuals to Pakistan at the Teethwal crossing in the Karnah sector.
