Jammu, May 7: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Raghav Langer Friday reviewed the Covid-19 situation and containment measures in districts of the division here at a meeting with the Deputy Commissioners and senior Health functionaries.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioners Jammu, CMO Jammu, Medical Superintendent GMC Jammu and other concerned officers while Deputy Commissioners along with district officers attended the meeting through video conferencing.
The Divisional Commissioner reviewed the district wise situation of positive patients, health care facilities and the treatment protocol being followed to treat the patients. The Deputy Commissioners apprised the Div Com about the mitigation efforts being put in place by the respective district administration. The Div Com directed the DCs to develop district level triage facilities to streamline admission in the hospitals and referrals. He further directed for augmenting existing bed capacity to meet the increased demand.
He also stressed on the need to engage SDRF, Red Cross, voluntary organizations, including NGOs in the mitigation efforts and creating awareness among the general public about the SOPs.
Directions were also issued to the Legal Metrology to regularly check the wait and pressures of the oxygen cylinders.
The Div Com also instructed the DCs to ensure strict adherence to the Covid related guidelines and SOPs in the districts.
