Coronavirus: 32 deaths, 1895 positive cases in JK

Srinagar, Jun 1: The Jammu and Kashmir Union territory on Tuesday witnessed 32 deaths due to Covid-19 while as 1,895 fresh positive cases were also reported, taking the number of total active cases in the UT to 33,276
With 32 more deaths the death toll in the UT has reached to 3,939 and 1,895 fresh positive cases reported on Tuesday has pushed the tally of positive cases to 292,360.
Of the exact number of 292,360 cases, 180,000 are from Kashmir division and 112,360 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 1,895 new cases, 1,262 belong to Kashmir division while as 633 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 180,000 including 156,939 recoveries and 2,014 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 112,360 including 98,206 recoveries and 1,925 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 33,276 including 21,047 from Kashmir division and 12,229 from Jammu division.
With 3,682 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 255,145 which is 87.27 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 304 from Srinagar, 161 from Baramulla, 181 from Budgam, 185 from Pulwama, 141 from Kupwara, 85 from Anantnag, 52 from Bandipora, 61 from Ganderbal, 66 from Kulgam and 26 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 633 from Jammu division include 218 from Jammu, 52 from Udhampur, 64 from Rajouri, 73 from Doda, 50 from Kathua, 45 from Samba, 24 from Kishtwar, 60 from Poonch, 39 from Ramban and 08 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Out of 32 deaths reported today, 06 died in GMC Jammu, 01 in SSH Jmu, 01 in GMC Rajouri, 01 in GMC Doda, 01 in CH Udhampur, 01 in CHC Mendhar, 01 in Corporate Hosp Amritsar, 03 in SMVDNH Katra, 03 in Home/ Brought Dead, 02 in SMHS Sgr, 01 in SKIMS JVC Bemina, 04 in SKIMS Soura, 01 in DH Bandipora, 01 in CD Hosp Srinagar, 01 in DH Pulwama, 01 in CHC Tangdar, 02 in GMC Baramulla & 01 in DH Kulgam.
As per officials figures, 65,467 positive cases including 777 deaths and 60,633 recoveries are from Srinagar, 21,488 including 260 deaths and 18,716 recoveries are from Baramulla, 20,417 including 18,090 recoveries and 179 deaths are from Budgam, 13,241 including 10,844 recoveries and 171 deaths are from Pulwama, 12,178 including 145 deaths and 10,220 recoveries are from Kupwara, 14,638 including 10,895 recoveries and 162 deaths are from Anantnag, 8,489 cases including 7,547 and 92 deaths are from Bandipora, 8,805 including 7,519 recoveries and 69 deaths are from Ganderbal, 9,943 including 8,325 recoveries and 104 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,334 including 4,159 recoveries and 55 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 50,893 including 44,488 recoveries and 1,076 deaths are from Jammu district, 10,639 including 9,910 recoveries and 126 deaths are from Udhampur, 9,742 including 8,389 recoveries and 186 deaths are from Rajouri, 5,784 including 4,582 recoveries and 90 deaths are from Doda, 8,805 including 8,193 recoveries and 132 deaths are from Kathua, 6,776 including 5,544 recoveries and 112 deaths are from Samba, 4,013 including 3,709 recoveries and 34 deaths are from Kishtwar, 5,267 including 4,263 recoveries and 79 deaths are from Poonch, 5,127 including 4,316 recoveries and 53 deaths are from Ramban and 5,314 including 4,812 recoveries and 37 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 2,100,700 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 82,467 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 33,276 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 1,834,927 persons have completed the surveillance period and 146,091 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 8,605,273 samples are available. Out of 8,605,273 the number of samples tested negative stands at 8,312,913 while as 292,360 have tested positive, among them 33,276 persons are active, 255,145 persons have recovered and 3,939 persons have died.
