Secy RDD reviews progress on Himayat Scheme

Baramulla, Jun 5: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Bhupinder Kumar Saturday convened a meeting of several engineering departments to review the progress of various developmental works undertaken in such sectors. The meeting also took a detailed appraisal of several works that were identified during the ambitious ‘Back to Village’ programme.
On the occasion, a comprehensive discussion and deliberation on several aspects was held during which the concerned heads presented the status and current position of different projects undertaken in their respective departments.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC stressed to work with more synergy and dedication so that the desired results are achieved. He also directed to identify the impediments or bottlenecks, if any and emphasized to sort them in a time bound manner.
The DC also directed to make necessary arrangements for the issuance of D Class contractor cards at the Panchayat level so that works at grass roots level are executed and completed in a speedy and timely manner. He further directed the ACD Baramulla to ensure that MGNREGA payments are made in a stipulated time frame so that workers may not suffer during these critical circumstances.
Moreover, DC issued strict directions to all the concerned agencies to ensure that the required SOPs regarding COVID-19 pandemic are followed at work sites in letter and spirit so as to avert any kind of exigency.
ADDC Baramulla Aijaz Abdullah Saraf, JDP, SE R&B, SE Hydraulic, SE KPDCL, ACD, Executive Engineers, AEEs, BDOs, district and sectoral officers among other concerned functionaries were present on the occasion.
