The innocence of a six-year-old student from Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, has finally paid off as the government after hearing the plea from a toddler has brought the reformation in the education department, which the administration failed to do in the past several years. The several years of discussion over the weight of school bags of the kids failed to bring any respite for the kids. But, the innocence of a toddler has prompted the administration to take a student friendly decision. In a viral video, a kid could be heard narrating her ordeal due to overburden home work on zoom classes amid the pandemic. She has referred to the Prime Minister in her video, urging him to take a look into the matter following which the government in Jammu and Kashmir came up with the decision, which suits the aspirations of students. However, an association under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Education Chamber (JKEC) has come up with a statement, stating that the education policies cannot be changed based on a viral video and they have not been taken on board. One fails to understand why it is necessary for them to be taken on board when the government is trying to lessen the burden of kids only. To mitigate the sufferings of kids should be the prime focus rather than giving the suggestions and claiming the victory. It seems that the viral video that brought reformation in the education department has hurt the ego of this particular association. One must keep his/her grudge at bay when it comes to the education of the students.
