Minor girl injured after hit by cab in Handwara

Handwara, Jun 15: A 10-year-old girl was critically injured after hit by a passenger cab here in Maratgam area on Tuesday afternoon.
Reports said that the girl identified as one Hadia Jan daughter of Mohammad Akbar War was hit by a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK-01H 5246, resulting in her critical injuries in the incident.
The girl was immediately evacuated to District Hospital Handwara for treatment, wherefrom she, as per latest reports, has been referred to SKIMS Soura for advanced treatment.
A medical official at District Hospital Handwara said that the minor girl was brought to the hospital with multiple injuries, adding that given the nature of her injuries she was referred to SKIMS Soura for preferential treatment.
Meanwhile a police official confirming the incident said that a case under relevant sections has been taken up in this regard. (GNS)
