Srinagar, Jun 18: Inspector General of Police Kashmir on Friday visited family of a policeman who was killed by unidentified militants near his residence at Saidapora area of Eidgah Srinagar.
The policeman, Javaid Ahmad, according to police was posted as personal security officer with a retired judge. At the time of incident, police said he was at home on leave.
“IGP Kashmir along with DIG CKR Srinagar & SSP Srinagar visited family of Javaid Ahmad and paid heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family members,” police said in a tweet. “IGP Kashmir also assured that Police is always at the forefront to help the families of martyrs.”
