Srinagar, Jun 21: Army Monday reached out to people of Kupwara district and educated them about the positivity associated with Yoga, how it helps people in maintaining a healthy body and sound mind and also taught them various Asans of Yoga.
People also showed eagerness and enthusiasm to learn and practice Yoga. People came forward specially youth and kids to participate and make *International Yoga Day* a success.
People did Yoga Asan along with Indian Army at various locations in Halmatpura, Manigah, Kalaroos, Muhri.
Local people of far flung areas did Yoga at their homes and thanked Indian Army for providing them the guidance to practice Yoga in correct way.
Army also promised that they will keep organising Yoga classes from time to time to teach them and also requested AWAM to follow COVID-19 protocols and to get vaccinated.
Today when the world is still recovering from the impacts of COVID-19, YOGA practice is helping people to fight against anxiety, depression etc.
YOGA FOR WELLNESS is the appropriate theme for International Yoga Day 2021.
