The hidden price of wrong choice

The vaccination is the only weapon to fight the Covid as there is no proper medicine available so far across the globe to treat the virus. It has been over two years now, since the outbreak of this deadly virus created fear among the masses in Jammu and Kashmir like other parts of the country. However, the government has formally launched a vaccine that helps in generating immunity and fights the deadly virus. Nonetheless, a hesitance among the masses is visible across the Union Territory as a large number of people have shown reluctance to get their vaccine shots at the designated vaccination centres established by the government. It is the high time for people to overcome vaccine hesitancy and realize the importance of getting a COVID-19 jab. The Centre has recently taken over the inoculation drive from the States and UT governments and the move seems to have worked out as on Monday nearly 75 lakh people across the country received the vaccine shots. The government has announced free vaccination for all adults. This step will help the poor people to a great extent as it won’t put extra burden on them. It has been found that those who were vaccinated didn’t develop severe complications during the ongoing second wave of COVID-19, which indicates that the vaccine is helpful. Therefore, there is a need to overcome the hesitancy and visit the vaccination centres established by the government to get the vaccination shots, which will help in combating the virus during the possible third wave of Covid-19.
