Coronavirus: 6 fatalities, 259 new cases in JK

Srinagar, Jun 28: The Jammu and Kashmir Union territory on Monday witnessed 06 deaths due to Covid-19 while as 259 fresh positive cases, lowest since second wave were also reported, taking the number of total active cases in the UT to 4,996.
With six more deaths the death toll in the UT has reached to 4,310 and 259 fresh positive cases reported on Monday has pushed the tally of positive cases to 314,990
Of the exact number of 314,990 cases, 195,565 are from Kashmir division and 119,425 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 259 new cases, 169 belong to Kashmir division while as 90 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 195,565 including 190,379 recoveries and 2,210 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 119,425 including 115,305 recoveries and 2,100 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 4,996 including 2,976 from Kashmir division and 2,020 from Jammu division.
With 549 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 305,684 which is 97,05 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 64 from Srinagar, 13 from Baramulla, 12 from Budgam, 14 from Pulwama, 31 from Kupwara, 11 from Anantnag, 10 from Bandipora, 06 from Ganderbal, 06 from Kulgam and 02 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 90 from Jammu division include 02 from Jammu, 02 from Udhampur, 12 from Rajouri, 09 from Doda, 04 from Kathua, 03 from Samba, 14 from Kishtwar, 08 from Poonch, 07 from Ramban and 29 from Reasi,” officials disclosed
Meanwhile, authorities on Monday said that no fresh case of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and toll of total cases of Mucormycosis stands at 29.
Out of 06 deaths reported today, 04 in SMHS Srinagar, 01 in SKIMS Soura and 01 in DH Pulwama.
As per officials figures, 69,832 positive cases including 827 deaths and 67,057 recoveries are from Srinagar, 23,183 including 278 deaths and 22,646 recoveries are from Baramulla, 22,507 including 22,001 recoveries and 204 deaths are from Budgam, 14,849 including 14,432 recoveries and 190 deaths are from Pulwama, 13,765 including 163 deaths and 13,271 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,018 including 15,503 recoveries and 199 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,279 cases including 9,007 and 100 deaths are from Bandipora, 9,567 including 9,299 recoveries and 76 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,016 including 10,691 recoveries and 115 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,549 including 5,472 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 52,361 including 50,602 recoveries and 1,133 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,149 including 10,925 recoveries and 131 deaths are from Udhampur, 10,686 including 10,286 recoveries and 219 deaths are from Rajouri, 6,777 including 6,392 recoveries and 112 deaths are from Doda, 9,202 including 9,005 recoveries and 149 deaths are from Kathua, 7,058 including 6,906 recoveries and 118 deaths are from Samba, 4,435 including 4,269 recoveries and 42 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,074 including 5,750 recoveries and 90 deaths are from Poonch, 5,819 including 5,654 recoveries and 63 deaths are from Ramban and 5,864 including 5,516 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 2,403,811 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 18,286 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 4,996 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 2,161,841 persons have completed surveillance period and 214,378 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 9,858,530 samples are available. Out of 9,858,530 the number of samples tested negative stands at 9,543,540 while as 314,990 have tested positive, among them 4,996 persons are active, 305,684 persons have recovered and 4,310 persons have died.
