Coronavirus: JK logs 298 positive cases, 4 deaths

Srinagar, Jul 1: The Jammu and Kashmir Union territory on Thursday witnessed four deaths due to Covid-19 while as 298 fresh positive cases were also reported, taking the number of total active cases in the UT to 4,321.
With 04 more deaths the death toll in the UT has reached to 4,327 and 298 fresh positive cases reported on Thursday has pushed the tally of positive cases to 315,960
Of the exact number of 315,960 cases, 196,185 are from Kashmir division and 119,775 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 298 new cases, 196 belong to Kashmir division while as 102 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 196,185 including 191,562 recoveries and 2,220 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 119,775 including 115,750 recoveries and 2,107 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 4,321 including 2,403 from Kashmir division and 1,918 from Jammu division.
With 573 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 307,312 which is 97,27 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 60 from Srinagar, 19 from Baramulla, 20 from Budgam, 09 from Pulwama, 17 from Kupwara, 30 from Anantnag, 04 from Bandipora, 13 from Ganderbal, 24 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 102 from Jammu division include 07 from Jammu, 07 from Udhampur, 07 from Rajouri, 09 from Doda, 02 from Kathua, 23 from Samba, 16 from Kishtwar, 14 from Poonch, 08 from Ramban and 09 from Reasi,” officials disclosed
Meanwhile, authorities on Thursday said that no fresh case of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and toll of total cases of Mucormycosis stands at 29.
Out of 04 deaths reported today, 01 died in GMC Rajouri, 01 in SMVDNH Katra and 01 in SKIMS Soura.
As per officials figures, 70,043 positive cases including 829 deaths and 68,433 recoveries are from Srinagar, 23,263 including 278 deaths and 22,711 recoveries are from Baramulla, 22,576 including 22,136 recoveries and 204 deaths are from Budgam, 14,870 including 14,497 recoveries and 192 deaths are from Pulwama, 13,815 including 165 deaths and 13,397 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,090 including 15,721recoveries and 202 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,306 cases including 9,068 and 100 deaths are from Bandipora, 9,601including 9,335 recoveries and 76 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,067 including 10,779 recoveries and 116 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,554 including 5,485 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 52,399 including 50,709 recoveries and 1,134 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,180 including 10,957 recoveries and 131 deaths are from Udhampur, 10,714 including 10,344 recoveries and 220 deaths are from Rajouri, 6,839 including 6,491 recoveries and 113 deaths are from Doda, 9,207 including 9,025 recoveries and 149 deaths are from Kathua, 7,084 including 6,916 recoveries and 119 deaths are from Samba, 4,485 including 4,301 recoveries and 42 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,106 including 5,785 recoveries and 92 deaths are from Poonch, 5,842 including 5,676 recoveries and 64 deaths are from Ramban and 5,919 including 5,546 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 2,434,901 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 15,034 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 4,321 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 2,186,181 persons have completed the surveillance period and 225,038 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 10,017,517 samples are available. Out of 10,017,517 the number of samples tested negative stands at 9,701,557 while as 315,960 have tested positive, among them 4,321 persons are active, 307,312 persons have recovered and 4,327 persons have died.
