Ensure pending works approved under B2V3 tendered earliest: DC G’bl to officers

Ganderbal, Jul 3: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna Saturday directed the officers of line departments that works proposed for replacement that are authorized under B2V3 program shall be tendered at an earliest.
The DDC passed these directions during a meeting of line departments to review the progress on works approved under Back to Village-3 (B2V3) program in the district.
At the outset, the DDC sought details from all departments about the works approved under B2V3 program and it was informed that 2 works from each Panchayat of the district are authorized and a total of 253 works stand authorized at the cost of Rs 1234.50 lakh out of which 203 works are tendered besides 24 works stand completed.
During the meeting, CPO informed that 31 works authorized under B2V3 are not tendered for various reasons and out of which 23 works needed replacement which are identified.
Threadbare discussion was held on the tendering process, feasibility of works, estimate cost and other issues that are hampering the progress of works authorized under B2V3.
On the occasion, the DDC sought a detailed status department wise of work estimation and tendering process of the works approved under B2V3 program.
The DDC reiterated that district administration is committed to provide all basic amenities at the door steps of the people especially living in far-flung areas and exhorted upon all the line departments that all such works shall be taken in mission mode so that targets are achieved well in time.
The meeting was attended by the Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Bilkis Jan, Assistant Commissioner Development, Bilal Mukhtar, Chief Planning Officer, SEs of various Engineering wings, Executive Engineers of Jal Shakti, KPDCL, PMGSY and R&B besides other concerned officials.
