Srinagar, Jul 8: Jammu and Kashmir police on Thursday claimed to have arrested another guide during investigation of a case of Police Station PS Uri pertaining to ex-filtration.
“On July 02, Baramulla Police had foiled an ex-filtration bid in Uri area by arresting four persons including a guide namely Parvaiz Ahmad Hajam, son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-din of Gohallan Uri” a police spokesman said in a statement.
During further investigations, the said guide confessed about the involvement of another guide namely Mohammad Majloon Sheikh, son of Aakli Sheikh of Dudran Boniyar, police said, adding that acting swiftly police arrested him besides recovered incriminating material from his possession.
Accordingly, police said that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Uri and further investigation into the matter is in progress. (KNO)
